Ciao, I'm

Isabella
Giovannini

I turn ideas into things that happen, and bring people with me.

ProjectsBrandsEventsCommunication

Give me the complicated project. Logistics, live sport, festivals, brand events, content, from Bologna to the USA to Milan to Parma. Different worlds, same job: get people aligned, keep the plan moving, deliver.

True story

When I was little, my teachers kept telling my mom I couldn't sit still or stop talking. That part of me never changed. It just evolved. Now it's my job.

The path so far

Five stops so far, and one side road. Under each stop, the skills I took with me.

01

Bologna · 2017–2018

Behind the scenes

Logistics · Zero51 SRL

Where it started. Purchase orders, stock checks, delivery schedules. The unglamorous backbone of getting things there on time. It taught me what I still believe: every project runs on logistics first.

02

All over Italy · 2019–2022

No second takes

Giro d'Italia (RCS Sport) · Armani Summer Tour · GFVIP · Firenze Rocks

Client liaison across three editions of the Giro d'Italia, thousands of kilometers, every tour finished. Head hostess for Armani, GFVIP, and Firenze Rocks. A new crowd every day, problems solved in real time, no rehearsal. This is where I learned to keep people happy and the plan on track at the same time.

Bologna · USA, Utah · Milan · 2018–2024

Three universities, tre città

Communication (UniBo) · MBA year, Leadership (Southern Utah) · MA Event Management (IED Milan)

I studied the whole way through. A Bachelor in Communication at Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna. Then the USA: an MBA year in Organizational Leadership at Southern Utah University, new country, new way of leading a room. That year made one thing clear, my place is where things happen live. So I came back to specialize in Event Management at IED Milan. There I learned to take a project from concept to budget to delivery, and to design every moment so it also works on a phone screen.

Words & ideas

From my Bachelor in Communication at Alma Mater Studiorum (UniBo): a semiotics thesis on the color yellow in the series Dark, a Polimoda editorial interview, gender studies work. The thinking behind the doing.

IED · Assignment

Me, in one minute

An IED assignment: introduce yourself in one minute. So here I am, a CV you can press play on. Shot and edited by me.

IED · Film

Bubbly

For an IED project we invented a product and shot the ad ourselves. Writing, acting, editing, all of it. A fictional collab between BeLight and Bubbly.

"La vita è come una centrifuga di emozioni."
IED · Client project

La Prima Cena

An exclusive dinner concept for Deutsche Bank private banking, built like a menu from entrée to amari. Novel food, a sustainable future, and a blue butterfly as the thread.

IED · Finals · Winner

Chain of Events

My final project, for Ploom, a JTI brand, and the winning project of the IED finals. I led the team as project manager and the creative concept was mine from the start: a main event, a club tour, and a full comms plan, budgeted at over €2M, down to the line items. Then I led our team into JTI's offices to pitch it in person to the board.

04

Bologna · Milan · 2015–2024

The whole project, end to end

Pianofortissimo Festival · Wired Next Fest

At Pianofortissimo I grew from hostess to project manager: press, talent selection with the creative director, venue negotiation, stakeholders and timelines. At Wired Next Fest I worked on stage operations and influencer reception.

Parma · 2025–now

Where I am adesso

Event Specialist · Davines Group (Certified B Corp)

Two brands, one group. I started at Comfort Zone, the group's global skincare brand, working with trade marketing, demand planning, and events. In October 2025 I was hired into Education & Events at Davines Italia, where I work close to the sales team: events for partners, salons, hairdressers, and influencers, all the way to the backstage of Milan Fashion Week, where I'm the main contact for the partner and ambassador hairdressers running the shows. I coordinate suppliers, support budget tracking, and keep marketing, communications, and digital aligned. The three short videos in this card I planned, shot, and edited myself. Below, bigger projects I'm proud of.

  • Supplier coordination
  • Budget tracking
  • Cross-functional teams
  • International events
  • Video content

Davines · Italy

Activation Day 2026

Every year, on Activation Day, the whole company and our clients go out and do something for the planet and the places we live in. This year that meant more than 300 colleagues across Italy, plus about 400 clients, working with local associations on clean-ups, biodiversity protection, and citizenship and social impact projects. I built the entire project together with a colleague, with the clients coming in through our department. I handled the associations that ran the activities, the locations, and the clients, to get everything organised.

Davines · Campaign

The Good Life Partner

The campaign for Davines' partner program, made to bring as many new salons on board as possible. All year I worked on the partner events side, co-organizing exclusive experiences around Italy made just for our partners. The video was a real two-day shoot across several locations with a full crew, and I was on the team that organized it. And the smile at the end is mine: they wanted a real one, and they picked me.

Davines · Valencia

World Wide Hair Tour 2026

The global event that brings together every Davines business unit in the world, this year at the Roig Arena in Valencia. I was one of the 150 Davines people on site, on the team looking after the guests of the Italian business unit: hotel bookings and the rooming list, all the info they needed before and during the trip, and making sure everyone felt at home. Here's how big it was.

Meanwhile, a side road

Side project · early days

Found in translation

Co-founder · Unifono

In my free time I'm building Unifono with a few friends. It's a small side project, still in its early days: an app that brings live translation powered by AI to events. Guests follow every talk in their own language, on their own phone. I bring the event side: how a real event day runs, what organisers need, and where the product has to fit in. We're testing it at our first events, and I'm learning a lot about AI tools and even a bit of coding along the way.

How I work

Different worlds, same way of working

What I bring isn't one skill, it's how they connect: the brief and the budget, the supplier and the brand team, the plan and what actually happens on the day. Every project needs someone who holds those pieces together. It's what I've practiced at every stop on the path.

Who I am

Curious, bold, and impossibile to bore

I'm the person who talks to everybody in the room and remembers what they said. Curious by default, determined when it matters, honest even when it's easier not to be. I connect with people quickly, and I use it to get everyone moving in the same direction.
